The key idea
In questions about names and codes, don't guess a version that sounds familiar. If the speaker spells it out, the spelling gives the exact form of the answer.
Don't mix up letters and numbers. In a code, B and D, or the number 0 and the letter O, may need attention. Follow the context and any repetition.
Writing in capital letters can make your answer easier to read, but it doesn't fix a wrong letter. In the final check, compare the sequence one letter at a time.

Example: My surname is Bell. That's B, E, double L.
Note: BELL. Double L means two L's.
Instead of thinking of another familiar surname, follow the letters. If you miss one letter, leave a short gap so you don't lose the next letter, and carry on.

Answer and explanation
GREEN — G, R, E, E, N.
Double E means two E's. Writing Gren loses one letter. Whether you write in capitals or in normal letters, what matters is that the word is spelled correctly. In this exercise, the spelling confirms the same name.
I heard it, but how many words do I write?
